Chicago, Il

I managed to get out of Bakerville, Indiana and on the road again. There was really nothing to see but corn fields. So on to Chicago.

Driving thru a maze of cars and highways leading you every which directions. I think it would be great if you lived here, you could look while you are driving, but as a tourist you are to busy figuring out where to go and not get hit by someone. I passed the White Sox stadium and when I noticed it, it was gone. I did find my way to Canal and Harrison and my hotel. After checking in I wandered the sea of penguines. Everyone seemed like in such a rush in the opposite direction. So I came up on Boston Blackies and had a couple of Guinness and met a local investment Broker, John and a nice girl who worked at the bar. They were great, giving me tons of ideas of places in Chicago to see. Well being I have to get on the road and enjoy
Route 66 and figure I am going to have to come back to
Chicago and see more. After Blackies I walked around some more and
ended up using my Guinness Pint finder App on my phone, sometimes you have to love computers. O so I found myself at Polk Street Pub.
Smaller bar, but had a great blacken cheeseburger and a couple pints. The 2 ladies working there were great. Definitely made me feel welcome to Chicago. While drinking a pint  watching a Chicago Hockey game and relaxed before finding my way back for the night.

Chicago River from Bridge on Harrison
Time to check out and drive over to the park and start Route 66.  I am sure I will get a few more pictures of Chicago today as I drive out. Have a great day Chicago, don't work to hard.

PS So this is how the Weather is in Chicago.
