I had an interesting begining as it was snowing and raining when I woke up. No problem though. I got the Jeep packed up and headed down to the Stonehenge. Created as a demostration for the stone carving capabilities of high pressure water.
After a quick stop I was off to the Trail of Tears. Before we get going to much here I want to say I am planning to mostly just post some pictures tonight. All the photos are between Rolla, Missouri and Eastern Tulsa, Oklahoma. I will post some captions with the pictures. I will try and keep them in order as well so you can follow Route 66 from Chicago to Tusla.
While you scroll through the pictures you can click on the pictures. They will get bigger and allow you to scroll from picture to picture in a much bigger look. If you click on the photo again you can view it at original size. I hope you enjoy them.
This is the Devils Elbow Bridge named for a river that loggers had a hard time with. More pictures coming, but the internet is acting really slow so going to post this much and see if I can download more pictures. Keep your fingers crossed.

After passing through town I came to Gay Parita Garage- Gary Turner on the right side of RT.66 Just a little further down you turn right turn at Johnson Creek Bridge and just beyond it an old Phillips 66 Garage. I had to stop and snap a couple pictures.
Driving on to Carthage, MO I came to a garage on the left with with a advertise for FoxFire Farm I had to stop for. Need Tires? I continued on into Carthage where Jasper County Courthouse can be found. It is a stone building built in 1895 looks a little like a castle.
As you pass out of town you come up on the Route 66 Drive-IN originally built in 1949 and reopened in 1998.
On the way out of Carthage I crossed over a bridge and saw a railroad bridge to the left. With the time of year and the leaves had to take a picture
I was driving on and saw Peggy Sue's, a Route 66 icon. You will see a bear holding a Route 66 sign at the corner. Peggy Sue's if for sale if anyone is looking for a place.
Finally coming to the stateline at Missouri/ Kansas there is a place called Hogs and Hot Rods Saloon. Small, but pretty neat. As usual there is so much more you see on the road and experience. These are just some pictures.
Unfortunately with the frusterations with the internet tonight it has taken forever it seems to get Missouri done. Tomorrow night I will get Kansas and hopefully Oklahoma caught up. I hope everyone is enjoying the pictures.
